If you want to escape urban noise and dust and spend someday on quiet forest near mountains, a beautiful lake with picturesque views,,, and go into one of the deepest jungles of Viet Nam. Where you will have the chance to enjoy the cool jungle breeze, walk through the vines and foliage of both evergreen pine forests and thick broad leaf jungle.
Day 1: Chicken Village – Elephant Mountain – Lake of Paradise
This two-day trip begins in the south of the city. We drive along the scenic trails to the famous chicken village, named appropriately because of the big chicken statue in the center of the village as love story of minority matriarchy. The women of this minority village are famous for weaving in brilliant and interesting designs.
After a short time visit the village, we begin to walk across their farms to climb to the elephants mountain. The hike goes slightly up the pine hill through the valleys where you can enjoy the small farms of coffee and flowers of the minorities. After getting to the top, you will continue into the jungle of the Elephant Mountain, if you are lucky, you can see a wild orchid in bloom or some wild monkeys. Soon you will notice the dramatic change of landscape, from the thick jungle to the pine. Walk through the hills between vineyards, broad leaf trees and enjoy the beautiful breeze of the jungle. We continue crossing the forest roads until we meet the base of Pinhatt mountain. Here you can rest on the top of the mountain to enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Paradise and the city of Dalat. You will be led to make a picnic lunch of fresh vegetables and fruits, baguettes …
After lunch and a rest at the top of the mountain, we descend and you will notice a very dramatic difference in flora and fauna . The valley you enter is no longer a pine forest, but the jungle of which Vietnam is so famous. Today’s destination is in a camping site near the lake where you can relax, fish or swim until dinner. Overnight in the lakefront bungalow.
Day 2: Lake of Paradise – Nao K’lang Mountain – Dalat.
After breakfast, a short boat ride will take you to the other side of the lake, where we will begin our second day of hiking. The trail climbs gradually into the pine and jungle forest to the top. We walk about two hours, rolling at any comfortable pace. This section of trail wanders through a wide evergreen leaf to the place we stopped at a small clearing for a rest.
After the rest, we continued the trail finally to a rather steep section that goes towards the top of Nao K’lang. The reward for this steep climb is a fantastic view of the city and the surrounding area, with breathtaking views of the Langbian Mountain to the north. A picnic lunch offers you a chance to try some of the region tasty products.
After lunch, we will descend to the farming village there and continue in the pine hills dotted until we meet our vehicle for a 20-minute transfer back to town. End the tour.
