This challenging trek is not only test your legs but also your camera and your camera men. About 18 km in total, you’ll descend and ascend from mountain to mountain, delight in belonging to the nature. The trip’s included almost everything you like to see: rugged trails throughout evergreen pine forest, picturesque valley with some local suspension bridges across the romantic LangBian river, real Vietnamese coffee plantations around, rural minority people life and the legend Tiger den waterfalls where you can swim.
This one day trip starts to the East of Dalat City. We drive 30 minutes along picturesque scenic roads to the Tiger Falls where we start our journey to the Falls. The first section of trail is through steep sided pine forest trail, dropping down to the LangBian River where you can take a break on the side of the falls and swim if you’d like.
We continue to walk near the shore of the river for about 1,5 hours. Here you will spy a few suspension bridges in the distance, and will see the landscape change from pine forest to coffee farms. Most of the farming in this area is done by the local K’ho minority tribes. Both the Lat and the Chil ethnic people are members of the K’ho minority group. They comprise the largest ethnic minority group in Dalat area.
From here we walk up to a scenic lookout, where you may want to take pictures of the beautiful valley below. You will be treated to a picnic lunch of fresh veggies and fruits, baguettes with an assortment of toppings and a French-style pastry to satisfy your sweet tooth. Picnic lunch that prepared and carried by your guide will on the mountain peak and view rushing river.
After lunch and a rest on the mountain-top, we descend and ascend the nearest neighboring peak for a rare glimpse of the lives of rural minority peoples…
Finally, a hike through the rolling hills and several small vegetable farms, returns you to the trail head and get our vehicle back to the city.
The mosaic Linh Phước pagoda, local greenhouses growing flowers and old railway station are available on the way back.
You should be well- prepare for 6 hours walking at medium – paced, have a big breakfast, recharge your cameras and enjoy the blast of Viet Nam’s countryside lifestyle.
